SNAL Logo The meeting is organized within the scope of EU funded Marie Curie Initial Training Network Smart Nano-objects for Alteration of Lipid bilayers (SNAL),
a multidisciplinary EU-funded 7th Framework Programme focused on lipid research.
 

6th Annual workshop on biomaterials and their interactions with biological and model membranes 2017
 will be held at the hotel Magnolia****, Salou (Costa Dorada), Spain,
7 -9 September 2017.

This meeting follows up the 1st Workshop, 19-23 September 2011, 2nd Workshop 24-26 February 2013 and 3d Workshop 1-3 June 2014 and 4th Workshop 19-21 October 2015, 5th Workshop 30 September -2 October 2016. The selected contributions to the meeting will be published in the web themed issue "Interaction of nano-objects with lipid membranes" in Soft Matter.

The general topic of the meeting is the interaction of synthetic polymers, nanoparticles, surfactants, proteins, small biomolecules with biological and model phospholipid membranes (check our web site). Leading scientists and experts from biology, chemistry, physics, engineering and industry will participate in the meeting to give it a true multidisciplinary environment.

The meeting is planned in form of oral talks, posters and discussion panels, where experts from different fields can share their knowledge interactively.
